Rickey Hoefnagel was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and migrated to the United States as a young woman. She has been an active artist for the past 26 years. Rickey has studied art with various teachers over the years until she joined Fusionart movement in 2006.  From then on, her vivid and harmonious colors flourished with powerful expressive movement woven into a vision of mystery and delight.

Rickey’s art has been shown in many galleries across California and was featured as Artist of the Month in October, 2011 at the Banning Center for the Arts. In 2012 her work was selected for The Artist’s Eye, a juried art show at the Showcase Gallery in South Coast Plaza. Her work, Celebrate Life, was a featured piece in the Peace Project 2012 traveling exhibition and her painting, Love of Peace, was a featured piece in the Peace Project 2013 traveling exhibition.

Rickey’s work has been published in several books and recently she exhibited at the Tucson Museum of Art with the Grammy-nominated composer Michael Hoppe.
